Mother’s Day spending this year is expected to account for the day’s highest consumer spending to date, according to the annual survey released today by the National Retail Federation.

Spending is expected to deliver a record total of $25 billion this year, up from $23.1 billion in 2018. The survey found that 84 percent of U.S. adults plan to celebrate their mothers and other women in their lives.
