Who says Nashville style consists only of cowboy boots worn with lacy dresses, jeans and shorts — heck, anything? Certainly not Nordstrom. The retailer is partnering with Off the Record, a fashion and music event taking place on Oct. 29 at the Factory on Franklin in Music City.

A fashion show will feature designers such as Naeem Khan, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Dries Van Noten, Chloé, Isabel Marant and John Varvatos, among others.

“We’re excited to announce our partnership with Nordstrom, a leader in retail renowned for its ability to spot the hottest trends in fashion and design,” said Paul Janowski, executive producer and president of New Heartland Group, which is organizing the event. “We both share a vision to deliver a high-energy event that will blow people away.”

Tickets are available at offtherecordnashville.com for $300 to $1,000, Off the Record said, adding that there will be a red carpet, cocktail reception and musical performances. Guests will also have the opportunity to view the styles of select designers before the show. Off the Record said the complete roster of designers and entertainment will be announced in the coming weeks.

Last year’s inaugural event, which was held at Sylvia Roberts’ estate — ABC’s “Nashville” character Rayna James’ homes – was sold out, Off the Record said. It featured such collections as Gucci, Kaufman Franco and Varvatos, as well as performances by The Cadillac Three, Maren Morris, Kaleo, Old Dominion, Phil Vassar and Tommy Shaw of Styx.

Organizers said Nashville is emerging as a creative hotbed for fashion. Nashville fashion week, which was held April 1 to 9, was the sixth year of the event with 23 local and international designers showing collections. The week’s schedule included the Nashville Fashion Forward Fund gala whose recipient was Julianna Bass.
