Nordstrom Inc. has inked an agreement to acquire Trunk Club for an undisclosed amount.
Trunk Club is an online personalized styling service for men. The service is similar to Stitch Fix and Wantable for women.
Nordstrom said the acquisition aligns with the retailer’s “strategic priorities around superior customer service, fashion, relevance and a seamless shopping experience.”
Trunk Club has 250 personal stylists. Its members fill out a questionnaire about lifestyle and style preferences, from which stylist make their selections. Members select what they want to keep from curated items that are sent to their homes. Trunk Club will continue to operate as an independent division of Nordstrom.
The transaction is still subject to customary regulatory and stockholder approvals. It is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.
