Daphne, the sister spa of Seattle’s Penelope & The Beauty Bar, is set to open in New York this June.

Opening on Broome Street on June 6, Daphne was founded by Angela Rosen and partners. Rosen founded Penelope & The Beauty Bar, which is located inside the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. After making frequent trips to New York, Rosen had a tough time finding the high-end spas she was looking for in the neighborhoods she wanted to be in. “I really had a hard time downtown finding a spa that I wanted to go to,” she said. So, she decided to open her own.

Biologique Recherche is the product partner for the spa. Daphne officially opens its doors June 6, offering facials, body wraps, body polishes and other treatments. “I wanted to provide services that I truly believed in,” Rosen said.

One of Rosen’s signature treatments from Penelope & The Beauty Bar will also be available at Daphne. The service, called The Glow, has spa-goers receive a body wrap and facial simultaneously in an effort to save time. The spa will also provide sugaring hair-removal treatments, as well as waxing.

With Biologique Recherche, Daphne plans to provide customized facials using its Skin Instant service, which identifies treatments based on the skin’s current condition. “Every single facial is a hyper-customized one,” said Laura Gerchik, U.S. general manager for Biologique Recherche. The brand’s more than 200 stockkeeping units — including hair care, body care and facial care — will be sold at Daphne.
