NEW YORK — Contemporary brand Quinn has opened its second store, at 181 Orchard Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The company’s first store opened in Naples, Fla., last December. Over the next five years, Quinn would like to open stores on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Boston, Westport and Greenwich, Conn., Aspen, Colo., and San Francisco. The lifestyle store features a full range of ready-to-wear, accessories, home, layette and travel products from the Quinn brand, as well as items from proprietary brands Qi Home, Qi New York and Ainsley. First-year sales projection is $1 million. “The opening of this store marks a new phase of expansion for the company and showcases our original design and use of high-quality materials. For the first time in New York City, our customers can see our entire collection and experience the Quinn lifestyle of effortless luxury,” said Jean Kolloff, chief executive officer of Quinn. Retail prices range from $50 for a superfine wool scarf up to $1,000 for leather pieces. The 1,000-square-foot store has a rustic, modern decor. High ceilings with bright skylights and a large birdcage chandelier suspended by weathered rope illuminate the space. There are also wrought iron fixtures, linen curtains with thick rope tiebacks and unfinished concrete floors. Antique furnishings, such as the copper mirror frame from the original Flatiron Building and an original wood/marble display from the early 1900s, are displayed.

“Everything from the store decor and layout to our offering of specialty products were carefully selected to appeal to the Quinn customer,” said Lauren Foster, Quinn’s digital marketing coordinator. “The great thing about our brick-and-mortar stores is that we are able to deliver our lifestyle message as a personal, sensory experience, as we continue to reach customers digitally through social media and our e-commerce Web site.”
