QVC, seeking to bring more brands and growth to its platform, is adding 20 hours of live programming to its QVC 2 channel.

The increase in live time, bringing the number of live hours to 66 per week, reflects a successful relaunch of QVC 2 in April 2017.

QVC 2 is one of QVC’s three U.S. broadcast networks, with the others being QVC and Zulily.

“We are leveraging QVC 2 to drive viewership and offer our customers more compelling choices across QVC, QVC 2, BiQ and our digital platforms,” said Steve Hofmann, president of QVC.

“We first increased our live programming on QVC 2 in April of 2017 and viewership has increased consistently over the past year,” said Hofmann. “Our customers love the variety of products and programming and we now have more flexibility to counter-program all of our networks.”

QVC 2 is now in more than 58 million homes. The additional hours will run on Tuesdays, from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 6 p.m. to midnight.

QVC Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qurate Retail Group, which includes QVC, HSN, Zulily and the Cornerstone brands.
