Rent the Runway Foundation and UBS have selected nearly a dozen firms to pitch their businesses for a chance to participate in an accelerator program and receive a cash prize of $10,000.

The five-week accelerator program is hosted by Rent the Runway. The pitches will take place during Project Entrepreneur Weekend Intensive at the Conrad Hotel in New York on April 9 and 10, 2016. The finalists will join more than 150 women founders and cofounders of start-ups, from 26 states, for sessions on how to turn their firms into scalable companies.

Jennifer Hyman, chief executive officer of Rent the Runway, said, “Our goal is to level the playing field so women entrepreneurs have the tools and opportunities necessary to build high-growth, high-impact companies.”

The weekend intensive will be hosted by Rent the Runway cofounders Hyman and Jenny Fleiss, and Lori Feinsilver, UBS head of community affairs & executive communications, Americas.

Feinsilver said, “The female founders participating in Project Entrepreneur are among some of our country’s most promising talent.”

The female founders sharing their knowledge include: Bethenny Frankel, founder and ceo of Skinnygirl; Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, cofounder of Gilt Groupe and ceo and cofounder of GlamSquad and Carley Roney, cofounder of and XO Group.

Designer Rebecca Minkoff, Susan Lyne, president of BBG Ventures at AOL and Janine Shelffo, cohead of TMT, UBS Investment Bank, will be among the judges who will evaluate the pitches for the accelerator program.

The finalists are from a widely diverse group of business concepts from fashion to food and travel to end of life thinking. The firms include: Adventurely; Cake; Claire; CortexMD; Itsbyu; Mia Pelle New York; Pak’d; PMS Bits; Queen of Raw and Sodium Analyte Level Test (S.A.L.T.) LLC.
