NEW YORK — Shari’s Place is expanding its fleet of stores.

Next month, the four-unit luxury apparel and accessories retailer will open a permanent store in Greenwich, Conn., and a seasonal store in Nantucket, Mass.

According to Shari Kaynes, co-owner of Shari’s Place, the Greenwich store, at 117 Greenwich Ave., will be 3,000 square feet. It will carry a mix of American and European luxury labels including Prabal Gurung, Chloé, Stella McCartney, Nicholas Kirkwood, Robert Cavalli and Etro. It is expected to open in mid-May.

The Nantucket unit at 13 Centre Street is 900 square feet and will remain open from about May 15 through Sept. 15, she said.

Shari’s Place already has stores in New York (Lexington Avenue and 75th Street), Greenvale, N.Y., Southampton, N.Y. and Palm Beach. The stores feature ready-to-wear, jewelry, accessories, and leathers and suedes, for which they are known.

Asked why she decided to open in Greenwich, Kaynes said, “We’re following our clients. We have stores in Southampton and Palm Beach, and a lot of our clients live in Greenwich.” She noted that it’s the store’s first foray into Connecticut.

Greenwich Avenue is home to Richards, Saks Fifth Avenue, Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch, as well as boutiques such as Theory, Vince, Joie, Kate Spade, Club Monaco, J. Crew, and Anne Fontaine.
