For holiday, beauty brands are collaborating with fashion influencers to create packaging that embodies their aesthetic. From Nars comes a collection inspired by legendary photographer Guy Bourdin, while Lush tapped Vivienne Westwood to create spectacular wrapping. Caudalie and L’Wren Scott have partnered on fanciful packaging for the brand’s cult Eau de Beauté, and Nest Fragrances enlisted Neiman Marcus’ fashion maestro Ken Downing to create a special holiday candle.

OIL FLOW

After a successful year of oil-based launches for face and hair, a bevy of brands are now launching body iterations. The NPD Group reports that, as of August, year-to-date sales of body oils in U.S. prestige department stores were $4 million, a 20 percent increase over the previous year.
