The Webster is inching closer to opening a New York City store, according to sources.

The trendsetting Miami-based retailer is reportedly seriously shopping for space for its first store in Manhattan and tops on its list is Greene Street in SoHo.

The Webster recently made its first foray out of its home state by opening a store at the Houston Galleria. The grand-opening party is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20. The retailer also operates a store in Bal Harbour, Fla., and owner Laure Heriard Dubreuil has long said that New York City is definitely on her wish list.

The Webster declined to comment.
