Tom Ford is opening two menswear stores in South Korea in two of the country’s top department stores.
On Friday, the brand will open inside the Gangnam branch of the storied retailer Shinsegae. Next month a Tom Ford Menswear store will open in the main branch of the Hyundai department store.
These openings will be Tom Ford’s second and third stores in Korea. By the end of the year, the designer will have 53 men’s boutiques worldwide.
“The Korean client has a great appreciation for tailored suiting, and he wants suits that fit his frame impeccably. He also appreciates the extreme level of quality in the materials of his clothing and accessories. My new stores offer the Korean man a level of luxury and service that I feel he will immediately understand,” Ford said in a release.
Each store will cover about 1,000 square feet in size. They both feature back-chrome display windows, silk-blend carpeting and small “salon-like” spaces, the company said.
