JD.com has just added another fashion brand to its stable. The e-commerce giant said Thursday that Hamburg, Germany-based sportswear company Tom Tailor Group has just launched its first online store in China on the JD.com platform.
JD.com, which just reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue growth, said the store features products from the Tom Tailor, Tom Tailor Denim and Tom Tailor Contemporary ranges as well as some exclusive products for the retailer.
Tom Tailor currently has a retail store in Shanghai, which it opened in November, and 14 shops-in-shops in China. The company bought fashion retailer Bonita in 2012.
JD.com and its number-one rival, Alibaba, have been battling one another to snag apparel brands for their respective platforms.
