JoAnn Slattery has joined Vineyard Vines, the Stamford, Conn.-based apparel and accessories brand, as vice president of women’s and children’s wholesale. Most recently, Slattery was vice president of women’s ready-to-wear at Tory Burch. Prior to that she was vice president of women’s ready-to-wear and children’s at Burberry, and has also been with Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Additionally, Jeff Wheeler has been promoted to vice president of men’s wholesale and golf for the company. He was formerly director of sales and marketing.

At the same time, the company said it will use IBM’s WebSphere Commerce technology to standardize its in-store, online and traditional catalog businesses and to share information across each channel.

“Growing our business meant we needed to take a customer-focused approach — providing a uniform experience whether a customer is shopping online or in person,” said chief executive officer and co-founder Ian Murray. “For us, getting a clear and accurate view of the customer required technology that would allow us to know more about them — where they shopped, what they buy and how often.”
