FRESH FACE: French fashion house Zadig & Voltaire wants to show off its new store style to the U.S. market with details about its Melrose Avenue storefront set to open next month in West Hollywood.
The 1,400-square-foot store, next to Rag & Bone, will be the company’s first in the U.S. embodying a new retail design by founder Thierry Gillier. The minimalist store concept creates an elevated environment mixing concrete and steel fixtures with wood beams and furniture. The store will house the collections for men’s, women’s and accessories.
The Melrose store joins existing Zadig & Voltaire doors on the West Coast, including those on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, the Malibu Country Mart in Malibu and the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.
The store’s opening is part of a healthy dose of activity taking place on the street with Dean & Deluca set to take up space previously occupied by Bodhi Tree Bookstore at 8585 Melrose Avenue along with an All Saints store that is set to absorb one of the former homes of Kitson. Other incoming tenants include Lululemon and Catch NYC, whose restaurant space is currently under construction and set for a fall opening. Nearby, on Melrose Place, Vanessa Seward is set to open her first boutique in the U.S. market.
