The Fashion Tech Forum has a new partner and a new venue.

Karen Harvey, chief executive officer of Karen Harvey Consulting Group, said the group has formed a partnership with Sketch-to-Scale solutions provider Flex for the fourth annual Fashion Tech Forum, which will be held in Los Angeles on Oct. 6. Harvey is founder of the forum, which had been held in New York City.

Flex will work with Harvey on developing the programming and creating the overarching vision for this year’s forum. “Flex’s capabilities in designing and building intelligent products from end-to-end make them a perfect partner for FTF and our community of business and creative leaders,” said Harvey.

With a focus on building the hybrid companies of the future, the forum’s mission is to bring together “innovative ceo’s, founders, leaders and investors in fashion and technology to discuss and envision the next stages of partnerships, businesses and brands in a highly connected world.”

Speakers this year will include will.i.am, the global music artist, and Mike Dennison, president of the consumer technologies group at Flex.

“Today, in the midst of the fourth industrial revolution, intelligent, interconnected products that blur the lines of multiple industries are created and launched at an unprecedented rate,” said Dennison. He said the forum is a venue for fashion and tech companies to explore synergies while staying current with trends in both industries.

Additional speakers for the October Forum will be announced on fashiontechforum.com. The annual conference is an invitation-only event for 800-plus industry leaders.

Karen Harvey Consulting Group, based in New York and London, focuses on executive search, brand incubation and advisory services for luxury, fashion, retail and innovation-driven companies. In addition to the forum, the firm launched Indx, a marketplace for talent to seek employment opportunities with brands.

Flex has approximately 200,000 professionals in 30 countries involved in design, engineering, manufacturing, real-time supply chain insight and logistics services to companies of all sizes in various industries and end markets.
