The event, held in New York for press, paired nine new devices based on Intel technology with the appropriate characters and outfits.
The “fashionista,” for example, wore a sweater over plaid tights and high-heeled boots and carried a wireless device known as the VooDoo Envy 133 for replying to social invitations on the go. “Supermom” got a bigger laptop, the Samsung X460, for editing and posting videos of her family. The laptop fit into her white leather handbag and coordinated with jeans, jacket and heels. A “student” in jeans and flip-flops got relief from her heavy backpack with the diminutive Dell Inspiron Mini 9.
Two models wearing catsuits taped and burned out with an electronic circuit pattern started the show. Clothing and accessories came from TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Kolobags.com.
