Joor, the digital business-to-business wholesale marketplace, has acquired B2B wholesale technology platform Veee, and is entering into a strategic partnership with Premium Group, the fashion trade show organizer in Europe.
The deals further Joor’s presence in Europe and underscore the company’s mission to help brands and retailers grow and expedite the buying process. Joor software is designed to make the job of a buyer less laborious, more efficient, accurate and collaborative, and has been steadily gaining acceptance among brands and retailers around the world. Joor operates in the fashion, beauty and home sectors.
“At Joor, our mission is to help the entire wholesale industry thrive by creating one innovative ecosystem where all brands and retailers can easily exchange data to efficiently and profitably grow their wholesale business,” said Joor’s chief executive officer Kristin Savilia. “In doing so, we realize the importance that trade shows play in this process,” which she said is why Joor is partnering with Premium Group.
According to Savilia, trade shows are “essential face-to-face touchpoints and important sales channels for the wholesale industry.” But she added that their “traditionally analog foundation leaves many retailers and brands using offline processes to capture and organize their experience at these events. By partnering with Premium Group, Joor will be able to provide retailers and brands a digital-first approach to trade shows, creating higher efficiency and ROI tied to event investments.
“With Joor, and its recent acquisition of Veee, we found the perfect partner to bolster our digital capabilities,” said Anita Tillmann, managing partner of Premium Group. The partnership will help bridge the offline and online experience at our events and support our long-standing network of retailers and brands worldwide in accessing the U.S. market.”
Roughly 1,800 of Veee’s customers will be added to Joor’s platform, providing new efficiencies and access to retailers around the world already on the Joor platform.
Cofounder and managing partner of Veee, Thomas Johann Lorenz, will assume the role of commercial adviser at Joor.
Joor’s platform connects more than 8,600 brands with 200,000 retailers across 144 countries every day, according to the company. Joor is based in New York and has offices in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Paris, London, Milan, Madrid, Melbourne and Tokyo.
Premium Group’s fashion trade shows and other events include Premium, Seek and FashionTech Berlin.
