ShopRunner, the multibrand platform built for seamless e-commerce and Amazon “Prime-like” amenities announces the addition of Kenneth Cole to its roster of retailers.

Touting benefits such as free two-day shipping, free returns and seamless checkout for its “millions of consumers,” Shoprunner is backed by Alibaba, and envisions further access to “transformative data insights and premier network tools” for its retail partners, according to Sam Yagan, chief executive officer of ShopRunner.

ShopRunner rolled out its District mobile shopping app in November, following a $40 million fund raise from August Capital in October 2018. The latest partnership announcement includes four modern lifestyle brands: Kenneth Cole New York, Reaction Kenneth Cole, Unlisted, A Kenneth Cole Production and Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole.

Previously a ShopRunner member from 2013 to 2016, the company is rejoining the ShopRunner network as its evolves its overall e-commerce experience, as Yagan confirmed to WWD. “Kenneth Cole Productions identified ShopRunner as a necessary partnership for creating a world-class customer experience,” Yagan said.

Yagan believes ShopRunner has built “one of the most sought after customer lists in the industry,” attributing members in the network to “spend over-indexes by 7x.” In the new retailer partnership, “ShopRunner will give Kenneth Cole Productions the opportunity to expand its segment of highest-value customers.”

As Yagan informed, since Kenneth Cole last engaged with the network, ShopRunner has bolstered its platform with investments in its digital wallet, called Express Checkout, most recently rolling out a “best-in-class one-click checkout experience.”

In the coming year, ShopRunner expects to include enhanced out-of-stock notifications and a new digital gifting experience as well as a same-day delivery pilot and fraud prevention provided by Precognitive, which ShopRunner recently acquired.
