Finally, some good news in celebrity love land. Miranda Kerr is engaged to her social media prince charming, Snapchat co-founder and chief executive officer Evan Spiegel. The model, 33, posted a photo to Spiegel’s app (where else?) to share the news midday on Wednesday. And while many celebrities now share their news on social media, it clearly pays to have the fiancé in question be the CEO of one of said apps. Kerr’s photo shows a black and white shot of her ring, complete with a Bitmoji of Spiegel on one knee, clad in his signature white T, unveiling a sparkling shocker of a diamond ring. Hats off to you Spiegel — though we hope for Kerr’s sake that there was more to the proposal than a Bitmoji pic.

The timing of such an announcement does some of the heavy lifting for the Snapchat marketing team. Snapchat purchased Bitmoji’s umbrella company Bitstrips earlier this spring, and announced just yesterday that the product integration had been implemented. If you were previously unaware of the new Snapchat feature, Kerr’s display was an effective way to market the latest development. Nothing quite like having a Victoria’s Secret model announce her engagement to your founder, using your latest technology.

This will be the first marriage for Spiegel, the 26 year-old entrepreneur who founded Snapchat while a student at Stanford. Kerr was previously married to the actor Orlando Bloom; they wed in 2010 and split in 2013. They have one son, Flynn, age five. Spiegel and Kerr supposedly met during a Louis Vuitton dinner in 2014.

Most recently, the Australian-born Kerr drew headlines in her native country in December when her cover of Australian Harper’s Bazaar was chastised after Kerr appeared naked on the magazine. We can only imagine that highlights from their engagement and impending nuptials will be played out on the ole Snap.
