British and American thespians warmed up for Emmy weekend at the annual BAFTA/ LA Tea Party at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City.
Each star had a common goal for the evening: to mingle with friends and people they admire. “[This weekend] means a lot, it’s the most delicious one of all, most precious one of all,” said nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo. “It’s the one where we can acknowledge our peers. That’s why we’re all so excited about it.”
Others, like comedienne Alex Borstein, were more blunt about their motives. “My favorite thing is all the free food and booze. I enjoy eating and I’m not ashamed to say it.”
Inside, Toni Collette, Paul Bettany, CCH Pounder, Sharon Lawrence, John Cho, Julie Benz, Sean Maguire, Sharon Lawrence, and Michelle Forbes clinked tea cups and Champagne flutes for the occasion.
