Most store parties are staid, buttoned-up affairs, but Phillip Lim managed to turn the volume up — literally — when he returned to his hometown Wednesday night to celebrate the one-year anniversary of his boutique on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The decibel-crashing, super-size bash, hosted by Rachel Bilson and Vogue and benefiting the Art of Elysium, was populated by PYTs and starlets like Kristen Bell, Maggie Q, Lynn Collins and singers Eve, Jewel and Leona Lewis.
“West Coast represents!” yelled Lim over the din of tunes spun by Devanda Banhart.
“There is not one piece of his that I wouldn’t wear,” said Bilson. “I have lots of his stuff.”
While Bilson and Bell chatted up friends inside the store, Lim and his pals commandeered the courtyard, where his favorite band, The Duke Spirits, played a rousing concert.
“I think I have a girl crush,” said Rachel Zoe of lead singer Liela Moss, who later accompanied Lim and a small group to dinner at Cecconi’s.
