“I had no idea black leather harnesses qualified as black tie, but you all look great,” event chair and CCA partner Kevin Huvane told the crowd at amfAR’s Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles Wednesday night, a celebration of men’s style, which, not surprisingly, drew more men in tuxedos than women in dresses.

At least they were easy on the eyes: Gabriel Aubrey, Adrien Brody, and 25 Wilhelmina male models gathered in the garden at the Chateau Marmont for the DSquared and Piaget-hosted fund-raiser, which, as usual, got Sharon Stone to reel in the live auction dollars and give a serious speech (this time she quoted Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address “Of the people, for the people and by the people” oratory).

AmfAR chairman Kenneth Cole kept the alfreso evening moving along, which was a good thing, given the gale force winds that threatened to blow tiny hostess Kylie Minogue off the stage. Ditto a twiglike Courtney Love, who performed her acoustic renditions of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”

“Sing along, you bitches,” growled Love, and the crowd obliged for the chorus. “I’m sick of being controversial, I just want to be here for my people,” she said not without a hint of irony.

The next day Dean and Dan Caten kept the party going to launch their limited edition dog accessories on Rumer Willis, Paris Hilton, Teresa Palmer, Angelica Huston, Dita Von Teese and Mischa Barton attended, requisite tiny dogs in tow, to outfit their pups in (what else?) miniature black leather harnesses.
