Carhartt Work In Progress, a European spin-off of the American company, celebrated its 25th anniversary with the book launch of “The Carhartt WIP Archives” in Berlin on Thursday night.

The public celebration included an international DJ lineup and an exhibition of signature pieces of the brand at St. Agnes Church, a desanctified event space and the city’s to-go spot for art and fashion that was inhabited by crowds of young streetwear fans on opening night.

“We wanted to tell the story of the past 25 years of our brand with iconic pieces and stories of creative scenes and subcultures in cities like Berlin, Detroit or Tokyo that are linked to Carhartt WIP. We’re launching it here because Germany is our home base and Berlin has fantastic subcultures,” chief executive officer Edwin Faeh told WWD.

The 428-page hardcover book is published by Rizzoli and will be available at Carhartt WIP stores, online and at selected bookstores.
