Italy’s Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the mayor of Milan Giuliano Pisapia paid a visit to the newly unveiled Fondazione Prada on Sunday evening. Miuccia Prada and her husband Patrizio Bertelli hosted an inaugural dinner attended by a roster of artists whose works are on display at the foundation’s new Milan home. They included Robert Gober, Thomas Demand, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Carsten Höller, Steve McQueen, Andreas Slominski,  Francesco Vezzoli, Peter Fischli, Maurizio Cattelan, Andreas Gursky, Wade Guyton, Anish Kapoor and Goshka Macuga.

Also in attendance were architect Rem Koolhaas, who designed the new space; its artistic and scientific superintendent Germano Celant; Salvatore Settis, curator of the first exhibition at the venue, “Serial Classic, ” and curators of other international museums including Nicholas Serota (Tate), Michael Govan (LACMA), Glenn D. Lowry (MoMA) and  Bernard Blistène (Centre Pompidou).
