“What a week…” an exasperated editor grumbled behind a fizzing Champagne flute. She was plopped down on a couch in the courtyard of the Greenwich Hotel. In her other hand she held a torched Marlboro Light.

Another in the clique motioned over ocularly to the adjacent table where a peculiar assortment of celebrities were convened: Zoë Kravitz sucking down a rolled cigarette with Michael Fassbender leaning over clumsily to talk to her. Kristen Wiig was joining them, swilling a glass of rose.

It was a sighting that, at the tail end of any other week, would spark cross-table speculation: Are Fassbender and Kravitz back on? Are the three doing a project together? Who even knew they were friends? But the celebrity ennui was sinking in.

Thursday night capped off a weeklong perpetual hangover with pre-Met-Ball and post-Met-Ball fetes keeping most fashion people out nearly every night. But the week was not over, and for Rag & Bone and, the industry bucked up for one more romp.

“It’s a wicked Web site. They’re boutique and we’re suited towards that. It’s very us,” Marcus Wainwright said in the back room of Locanda Verde (adjoined to and courtyard-sharing with the Greenwich Hotel), where those with stamina had gathered to collectively raise their glass to Wainwright and David Neville’s relationship with the German e-tailer.

Wainwright was leaning on the back of his dinner seat, stretching his quadriceps. “I’ve been standing around all day,” he said, clutching his ankle behind him. “We’re shooting our campaign so I’ve been up on my feet for two days straight.”

Most of the room had clumped up by the bar, sipping Champagne while servers proffering savory bites (spoonfuls of tuna tartare, shot glasses of herby pea soup and easy-to-slurp market oysters) circulated the room, bumping between huddles of Dianna Agron, Spike Jonze, Hanneli Mustaparta, Heidy de la Rosa, Michael Avedon, Justin O’Shea, Lincoln Pilcher, Camille Rowe, Atlanta de Cadenet, Liv Tyler, Michael Pitt, Tabitha Simmons, Alexa Chung and Toni Garrn.

Guests sat down to a multicourse (nothing quite cures a hangover like food, does it?) family-style dinner. Chanel Iman began serving tablemates globs of sheep’s milk ricotta. “I had fun, a lot of fun. I went with my man,” she said of the Met Ball, speaking of beau A$AP Rocky. She referred to him only as her “man” multiple times. “We stopped by The Standard, but my man had rehearsal earlier that day, so we went for like literally two seconds, then we looked at each other and were like, ‘Let’s go home…’” Let’s.
