The Levi’s party at the Palladium on Thursday could have served as a dress rehearsal for Sunday’s Grammy Awards, what with all the notable musicians who jumped on the stage. While Snoop Dogg headlined the night’s performances, BFF beatmasters Diplo and Skrillex laid down the first jam, goading the 3,000 partiers to get more raucous. Taunting them with questions about their lack of Grammy nominations or dates, Diplo urged them to “make some motherf–king noise.”

The crowd got worked up ever more when Snoop Dogg made a grand entrance through a cloud of marijuana smoke. Exemplifying West Coast style by pairing a midnight blue velvet blazer with 501 jeans, he rhymed his hits into a bedazzled mic embellished with gold lion head sculptures, in front of guests including Daft Punk, Christina Milian, Michelle Rodriguez, Leona Lewis and T.I.

Further illuminating the night’s theme of “Snoop & Friends,” Miguel, Too $hort, Chaka Khan and Pharrell Williams joined the top dog for some tunes. Refusing to cede the monopoly on F-bombs to Diplo, Snoop exclaimed: “Shout out to Levi’s 50-motherf–king-1s!”
