“I don’t even know what ‘It’ means, but I’m glad to be here today,” said Hailee Steinfeld, who was among the ingénues present for W magazine’s It Girls lunch Saturday at A.O.C. in Los Angeles.
Others deemed to possess the cool factor included Mickey Sumner, Corinne Foxx, Diane Kruger, Ambre Dahan, Cassandra Grey and Greta Gerwig, the latter of whom almost slipped by unnoticed due to her newly dyed brown hair. “I had to dye it for a role,” she said of the upcoming film “The Humbling,” which stars Al Pacino and was adapted from the Philip Roth novel. “I know it’s kind of literal but my character’s very dark so I had to have dark hair. It actually helps get into the role to look in the mirror and not recognize yourself,” she said.
Another guest flying under the radar — for now — was Foxx, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, a budding actress and model. “For now, I still have to finish school,” said the University of Southern California sophomore. “But I’m on winter break, so I was free to come today.”
