Beyoncé 2016 Grammy Awards Messika’s Miss Hepburn necklace

“Gee, do you think Beyoncé will squeak by with a Grammy nomination or two this year?” wondered absolutely no one who paid even the slightest attention to the past year in music. Beyoncé’s surprise album, “Lemonade,” was a cultural sensation when it dropped in April, and ushered in a new standard for visual art as well as audio. Now, she is set to reap the rewards as she leads the pack with the most nominations for the 2017 Grammy Awards, with a total of nine.

The awards will be hosted by James Cordon on Feb. 12 at Staples Center in L.A. The quest to bring the ceremony to New York for 2018 continues, as rumors have heated up as recently as last week that the awards could return to New York for the first time since 2003.
