SWEET CHARITIES: On Wednesday, Bill Blass and Graff hosted a lunch at Swifty’s in honor of Jamee Gregory, Leslie Jones and Lavinia Snyder for the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Antique Show. Talk was less about diamonds and clothes (though Evelyn Lauder told Michael Vollbracht she would rush home to change into the leopard-print Blass outfit he’d designed) and more about pillows. “You really need to buy a new pillow every year,” Lauder instructed a rapt Karen LeFrak, suggesting she make her way to Bloomingdale’s, which stocks the best selection.
“Should I buy some for my kids?” LeFrak asked.

“If you haven’t bought them pillows in a year, then you should,” Lauder explained.
That evening, Jessica Seinfeld threw a benefit at V Steakhouse for her three-year-old and growing charity, Baby Buggy, which brings diapers and baby items to underprivileged families. Though the event brought out a crowd 100 strong, including Alex Kramer, Lillian von Stauffenberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Liya Kebede, Andrew and Nancy Jarecki and Aerin and Jane Lauder, Seinfeld likes to keep her parties intimate. “I’m personally uncomfortable in huge events,” she said the following day. “This way, I can talk to everyone and impress upon them the impact of what they’re doing. And now our phone is ringing off the hook.”
