On Wednesday night, Jay-Z toasted his spring Rocawear collection, wearing a Dior Homme suit, Bottega Veneta loafers and Wayfarer-style shades. Inside the club, Jay joined Kanye West, who deviated from the GQ-sponsored party’s “all black everything” dress code with what appeared to be a peacock bow tie. Certainly not the streetwear once ubiquitous in the rap world. “At some point, you have to just turn it on its ear,” Jay reasoned of his and West’s elegant attire.
