The 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway will be filled with plenty of new music this year, as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd have all been confirmed as performers. We’ll leave it to the remix gods to conjure up a mashup of the trio’s biggest hits in preparation.
News of Gaga, Mars and The Weeknd performing at this year’s show, to be held in Paris, was revealed this morning via a press release. Both Mars and The Weeknd have performed at the show before, and Bella Hadid, who is dating The Weeknd, was confirmed to walk in it last week. We can only hope for an Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo moment between the two.
Gaga is fresh off of the release of her sixth studio album, “Joanne.” She recently performed “Million Reasons” and “A-Yo” from the album on “Saturday Night Live.” In September, she announced that she’s headlining the Super Bowl 51 halftime show. She’s also rumored to be in talks to play Donatella Versace in an upcoming season of Ryan Murphy’s “American Crime Story.” You can view some of her best Versace looks here.
Bruno Mars released “24K Magic,” the lead single from his upcoming album of the same name, at the beginning of October. He performed hits “Young Girls” and “Locked Out of Heaven” at the Victoria’s Secret show in 2012. Rihanna and Justin Bieber also performed that year.
The Weeknd released his fifth studio album in 2015. He recently put out a new single, “Starboy” featuring Daft Punk. He sang hits “In the Night” and “Can’t Feel My Face” at last year’s Victoria’s Secret show. He’ll be going on a world tour in 2017, according to Instagram posts he shared last night.
The 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs on Dec. 5 on CBS.
