Your time has come, Little Monsters. Mother Gaga has confirmed the rumors that she’s performing at Super Bowl 51’s halftime show. Let the theatrics begin.

The “Perfect Illusion” singer revealed the news Thursday night via social media. Just last year, a Gucci-clad Gaga delivered a rendition of the national anthem at the 50th Superbowl in Santa Clara, Calif. Come February 5 in Houston, she’ll take the stage again, this time for the halftime show.

Fans wasted no time expressing their enthusiasm for Gaga’s Super Bowl announcement, sending #GAGASUPERBOWL (yes, in all caps) trending on Twitter.

Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars performed at last year’s Super Bowl 50 show. Coldplay’s setlist included hits “Yellow,” “Viva la Vida” and “Paradise.” Mars, joined by Mark Ronson, played “Uptown Funk” and Beyonce performed “Formation,” the video for which she had released the day before. She also unveiled her Formation World Tour in a commercial that aired during the show.

Lady Gaga is slated to release “Joanne,” her fifth studio album reportedly named after her late aunt, on October 21. She dropped the first single from the album, “Perfect Illusion,” at the beginning of September and recently released its accompanying video. In it, Gaga appears to be dancing at a rave in the middle of a desert. Mark Ronson, who reportedly has been collaborating with Gaga on her upcoming album, also appears in the video.

It’s unclear what Gaga will perform during this year’s halftime show, but fans on Twitter are hoping she brings “the hits.” Might we expect a dramatic performance of “Bad Romance”? Or perhaps we can hope for a reunion with Super Bowl veteran Beyonce for “Telephone.” A Monster can dream.
