Not only did the show at La Foundation Coprim in Paris the other night have works from an impressive collection of contemporary artists — such as the late Jean-Michel Basquiat, Sandro ChÆa and James Brown — the party had quite a collection of royals as well.

Perhaps it was the influence of Alexandra of Greece, who works with the foundation, but you couldn’t move without rubbing shoulders with royalty, including Alexandra’s mother, the artist Marina of Greece, who will show her work at Jean-Gabrielle Mitterrand’s gallery in May, Amin Aga Khan, and most of the ex-French Royal family — Princesses Diane, Adelaide and Clotilde D’Orleans and their brother, Charles-Louis D’Orleans. But the young bearded man in the room who was getting lots of attention wasn’t a distant Romanoff relation, just Igor — actor Peter Ustinov’s son.
