What is your NYFW beauty routine like? Seven hours of sleep, my SK-II beauty regimen and a healthy diet. I don’t touch food or drinks at cocktail parties.
What is your biggest pet peeve/gripe about the week? No-shows in the front row.
What is your favorite fashion week venue? Made for supporting young talents and Spring for the sunlight and the view in late summer.
What is your secret spot for a break in the action between shows? I am glad to have The Butcher’s Daughter on Hudson Street so I can grab a juice and a salad.
What is always in your handbag? Cell phone, some cash, credit card, driver’s license, home keys and a lipstick.
What is your average nightly curfew? Midnight at the latest.
Roopal Patel, senior vice president/fashion director, Saks Fifth Avenue
What shows are you most looking forward to? I have a whole line up that I am excited to see: Altuzarra, Proenza Schouler, Monse, Rosie Assoulin, Marc Jacobs, Thom Browne, Sies Marjan and Brandon Maxwell to name a few.
What is your NYFW beauty routine like? I always like to keep things simple and not complicated. I keep up my SLT classes in the early morning. I always get my hair cut with Julien Farel a few weeks before and have a facial a few weeks before as well. If I have an event, I will ask my go-to lady Alexa Rodulfo for her makeup magic. She is amazing.
What is your biggest pet peeve/gripe about the week? My biggest pet peeve is how far apart the shows are and the scheduling of them. I go uptown, downtown, uptown, downtown at least three times a day. I feel a bit like a ping-pong ball. It would be more efficient if shows could be downtown for a few hours, then uptown, or vice versa.
What is your favorite NYFW venue? I always love it when designers select an off-beat venue. I look forward to seeing the setting for Rosie Assoulin’s show. It was in a pool once, and I loved the dripping candles last time.
Faith Kates, co-owner, Next Models
Where do you go for your coffee fix? I don’t drink coffee. My fix is a big bottle of Fiji water.
Which is your favorite fashion week venue? Park Avenue Armory.
What is your preferred mode of transport between shows? Uber.
What is always in your bag? My phone, a note from one of my children with a four-leaf clover telling me how much they love me, a phone charger, lip gloss and some chocolate candy.

What is your preferred mode of transport between shows? Any way I can. Cabs, subway, bike, walking or a driver, when it gets too complicated (although, I hate to get stuck in traffic).
What is your favorite NYFW memory? My first New York Fashion Week. It was the beginning of everything for me, the moment when New York Fashion Week exploded with new designers like Alexander Wang. Girls went crazy for him. There was a new style, a new attitude, it felt fresh and exciting.
What is always in your bag? I’m very minimal — my phone, keys and credit cards. Oh and also, I always have headphones on me (the Layla style by Frends). I listen to a lot of podcasts and music. It helps me stay grounded between shows.
What is your favorite NYFW venue? I love Spring Studios, with their giant windows and beautiful light. But the best ones are always the most unexpected — like the Givenchy show or even the carefully selected venues where The Row presents.
What are you most looking forward to wearing this fall? Streetwear, hoodies and I’m excited to wear heels again (if my feet agree).
How do you keep your phone charged when running around? I have a smart battery and during fashion week, I always keep a charger on me.
What shows are you most looking forward to? Marc Jacobs.
