Beverly Hills, Calif. Hollywood kicked into overdrive this morning as Academy Awards nominations were announced, ending months of speculation about who would make the cut and igniting new debate about who will take home the top prize. Most of the actress nominees have walked the Oscar carpet before, with the exception of newcomer Jennifer Lawrence, child star Hailee Steinfeld and Australian veteran Jackie Weaver. Aside from It Girl Lawrence, most of the fashion focus will be centered around Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams and Amy Adams. These women all have their favorites, from Prada to Carolina Herrera, but have pulled their share of surprises, so the dress race may still be open to a few interesting twists.
