The Weinstein Company held a party at Soho House Saturday night with Montblanc to benefit Unicef. And though the intentions were good, the party wasn’t without mishaps, namely the space hitting capacity very early in the night. Celebrities either loitered on the carpet (hey, as long as there are photographers around) or left to hit one of the several other parties around town.
“I am excited to get drunk with all the ‘Basterds,’ because they just came in from Europe,” said Eli Roth, referring to his “Inglourious Basterds” co-stars. “They might be jet-lagged but I am excited to see them. I missed everybody.”
Colin Firth, Vera Wang, Charlie Rose, Kate Bosworth, Chris Tucker, Joan Collins and Nicole Richie all stopped by during the course of the very long evening. Juliette Lewis hopped over after a girl friend’s birthday party. “We were playing a game called Running Charades. It’s vicious, competitive, and wonderful,” she said. “After that we put on our dresses and headed over here.”
Actress Isabella Miko put a little more effort into her preparation for all the Oscar pre-parties. “I did a facial and a spray tan, which is something I don’t normally do, but it is really fun besides having to strip naked in front of someone,” she said. “I tried to squeeze in a workout but it’s almost impossible this week.”
