In 2015, Gottex entered the activewear category with its licensee, X by Gottex.
Like Gottex, the line incorporates fashion trends, color and bold prints, but instead of targeting an older customer, this collection caters to a younger shopper who has an affinity for active pieces that can be worn on the street and in the gym. X by Gottex, which is designed by Maeum Han and sold in retailers including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, includes leggings with mesh inserts, rompers and color-blocked bombers. These activewear retails from $45 to $80. According to Baruch Kahalon, president of X by Gottex, consumers are responding to this mix of fashion and function.
“With each collection we are pushing the bar on our designs and the goal is to be a brand that’s synonymous with creating trends,”Kahalon said. Another goal is to tap into international markets and work with influencers to increase brand awareness.
X by Gottex also produces sportswear, which is designed by Qing Huang and retails from $40 to $100.
“The Gottex brand has a long and rich history in the contemporary fashion industry” said Kahalon. “X by Gottex continues in those footsteps to provide luxury, style and quality while simultaneously offering consumers a full lifestyle that they want to buy into.”
