Jim Calhoun, most recently head of Levi Strauss & Co.’s Dockers brand, has rejoined Nike Inc. as vice president and chief executive officer of Hurley International LLC.
The Hurley post has been vacant since February, when Roger Wyett, the former ceo, was named president of Nike Affiliates. Calhoun will report to Wyett.
Since joining Levi in 2008, Calhoun had been executive vice president and president of Dockers. Prior to that, he spent nine years with The Walter Disney Co. Earlier in his career, he worked at Nike with a concentration on its basketball business.
“Jim’s strong experience in consumer products and global brand management and his talent as a merchant will be a great asset to Hurley as we continue to connect with consumers and grow the brand globally,” Wyett said.
Hurley is headquartered in Costa Mesa, Calif.
A spokesperson for Levi said that the firm hadn’t yet appointed a successor to Calhoun to oversee Dockers.
