Le Mystère continues to grow its distribution across the pond.
The intimate apparel brand, which is carried at U.S. retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s, will now be sold in Harrods flagship and online.
Jessica Pfister, vice president of Le Mystère, said Harrods is “the perfect U.K. flagship to be stocking Le Mystère.”
The launch follows the introduction of the brand’s U.K. e-commerce site and partnership with distributor Intimates Lingerie. In the U.K., Le Mystère is currently sold in specialty boutiques including The Lingerie Boutique, Sipsey Lingerie and Mimi in addition to online retailer Brasense.
Komar, which recently moved its headquarters from New York to Jersey City, N.J., acquired Le Mystère in 2012. Since the purchase the brand has revamped its vision and broadened its product offering. Over the past few seasons the focus has been on multiuse, functional items including the Perfect 10, which can be worn three ways — as a lace bralette with an underwire, as a strapless bra with a plunging neckline or as a lace bra. It retails for $79. The bra’s straps can be adjusted in 10 different ways. The brand also previewed a new bodysuit with stationary straps and an open back — Pfister said the silhouette continues to do well at retail — and a shine and sheer unlined demi bra that’s priced at $66 that targets Millennials.
