Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris has named Hanro its Designer of the Year.
Eurovet, which owns the trade show, holds this contest each year and looks for brands with a longstanding history, comprehensive knowledge and creativity. According to Marie-Laure Bellon, chief executive officer of Eurovet, Hanro — which was founded in 1884 — was granted the award based on its innovation and expertise in natural fibers.
“The perfectionist dedication to elegance and quality is what brought Hanro renown worldwide, and led us to select it as designer of the year for 2016,” Bellon said.
Hanro, which launched an ath-leisure line earlier this year, will receive the award during a press conference on Jan. 23, the first day of show.
Previous winners include French lingerie brand Empreinte and Barcelona-based luxury lingerie and swimwear designer Andres Sarda.
