Wolford will launch its first ballerina kits.
The four kits, which will be available in Wolford boutiques and on its e-commerce site starting mid-September, feature various styles of Wolford’s popular tights, bodysuits and a merino scarf. The kits will retail from $136 to $640.
For the launch, Wolford teamed with photographer Dane Shitagi from the Ballerina Project to photograph Isabella Boylston, a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre.
“When Isabella came into the showroom and tried on all of our products she instantly brought everything to life. Her dance movement, beauty and confidence inspired us to create these ballerina kits,” said Jenny Altman, Wolford’s style and fit specialist. “The whole group is a nod to the street style of a ballerina. It mixes classic pieces such as tights and bodysuits with those that are modern and new such as Wolford’s multifunctional scarf.”
Wolford previously worked with the Shitagi on a series of photographs featuring dancers wearing Wolford product. Last year the Austrian brand appointed Grit Seymour as creative director and Ashish Sensarma as chief executive officer.
