MILAN — Charlene Wittstock wore a Giorgio Armani Privé gown to wed Prince Albert II of Monaco during a religious ceremony today.
The simple, off-white silk duchess column reflected Armani’s less-is-more hand. It was sprinkled with delicate floral embroideries in gold-tinted Swarovski crystals and white mother of pearl teardrops.
Wittstock is slated to don another Privé dress for tonight’s gala dinner on the Opéra terraces.
The Italian designer, who has been dressing Wittstock for years, also supplied dresses for a number of guests, including Queen Paola of Belgium and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.
Chanel also dressed attendees, including Princess Caroline of Hanover, a great friend of Chanel’s couturier, Karl Lagerfeld, along with her daughter, Charlotte Casiraghi. Karolina Kurkova, Lady Amanda Harlech, Inès de la Fressange and her daughter Nine d’Urso wore Chanel, too.
