After one year on the job, Giorgio Presca has exited as chief executive officer of Citizens of Humanity LLC. He is moving back to his native Italy for personal reasons, according to the company.

Amy Williams, who joined the company in November as executive vice president of sales, marketing and merchandising, has been promoted to president and will oversee the Citizens of Humanity and GoldSign brands. She reports to Jerome Dahan, founder and creative director of the company.
Williams was previously executive vice president at Lucky Brand and is also the co-founder of her own children’s wear line and group of stores, called Peek…Aren’t You Curious. Nordstrom acquired a minority stake in that company in December.
Earlier in her career, Williams spent 14 years at Gap, rising to the position of senior vice president of product development and design.
Presca had moved to Los Angeles for the Citizens of Humanity post from Belgium, where he was previously president of VF Corp.’s international jeanswear business.
Citizens of Humanity is sold in about 500 U.S. doors, said Williams, including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Ron Herman, Intermix, Scoop, Net-a-Porter and Shopbop.com.
Denim pioneer Adriano Goldschmied continues to serve as creative director of GoldSign and men’s product at Citizens of Humanity.
