Agnona, the luxury women’s wear label under the Ermenegildo Zegna Group umbrella, has tapped Peter M. Taub as senior vice president of Agnona North America. The appointment is effective Nov. 1. This is a new position for the brand, which re-launched last year under the creative direction of Stefano Pilati. The designer also took the post of head of design at Ermenegildo Zegna, with responsibility for the brand’s fashion show as well as for the Ermenegildo Zegna Couture collection.
The goal of Taub, who will be based in New York and will report to Agnona chief executive officer Alessandra Carra and to Zegna president and chief executive of the Americas Robert Aldrich, is to boost the wholesale and retail expansion of the brand in America, where the company will debut its first flagship in New York at the end of 2015.
Previously, Taub covered a number of roles in the buying, merchandising, retail and wholesale divisions of international brands, including Dolce&Gabbana and most recently Reed Krakoff.
Agnona collections are currently sold in 23 high-end stores across the United States, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, where the company operates a shop-in-shop.
