FASHION ANTIDOTE: The vegan fashion movement continues to gain momentum with the launch by Antidote magazine of a unisex vegan clothing collection, due to be unveiled on Feb. 26 in the designer area of Printemps’ men’s building Printemps de l’Homme.
The collection splits into two lines. Under the artistic direction of Antidote founder Yann Weber, Antidote Care is based on upcycled dead stock and vintage items featuring zero animal materials. Antidote Studio, meanwhile, features 20 unisex vegan pieces designed by four young international talents: France’s Moriba-Maurice Koné and Steven Alexis of AppleCore; China’s Shangguan Zhe of Sankuanz; Thailand’s Strong The, and Belgium’s Mats Rombaut.
The launch coincides with the release of the title’s spring Earth-themed issue.
A live show presenting the designs will go on the social media channels of the magazine and retailer on Monday at around 6 p.m. Paris-time — shortly before the opening show of Paris Fashion Week by Jacquemus.
Weber, who also produced a series of images for the event, said the plan is to develop the collections working with retailers in key cities across the world.
