MILAN — The Armani Group has teamed with Mind Group to develop a luxury residential project in Chengdu in southwest China.
Named “Art Residence,” it will consist of two 65-story towers, located in the heart of Chengdu, next to the Jinjiang fashionable district. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2016.
The Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio will design the common areas and apartments within the towers, which are to feature a heated rooftop swimming pool. The residential units, which will be for sale starting the second half of 2014, are to be equipped with a high-end Armani/Dada kitchen and Armani/Roca bathrooms.
“China is a fascinating country and continues to be full of dynamic energy and promise for the future,” said Armani Group president and chief executive officer Giorgio Armani. “I am delighted to be creating luxury residences in Chengdu, bringing a remarkable living space, imbued with the spirit of modern elegance, to this vibrant city, which, while it is truly of the 21st century, also has deep roots stretching back into the country’s fabled past.”
“The Art Residence by Armani/Casa is not only an artistic masterpiece in the original Armani style, but also an extraordinary project that leads the property industry in China with its creativity and innovation,” said Mind Group chairman Chen Dong. “A brand new artistic world icon will be created that combines both the profound sense of Chinese culture represented by Mind Group, and the world class avant-garde fashion philosophy of the Armani Group.”
Some of the Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio’s most recent projects include the Maçka Residences in Istanbul, The World Towers in Mumbai and the Century Spire in Manila.
