LONDON – Solange Azagury-Partridge will open a boutique on London’s New Bond Street in the spring, a spokesman for the jeweler has confirmed.
Azagury-Partridge plans to shutter her longtime shop at 187 Westbourne Grove and move to the former Lalique space at 162 New Bond Street, joining brands such as Cartier, Asprey – and Boucheron, where she was formerly creative director.
The new space spans 1,700 square feet and has a large, picture window facing the street. The spokesman said the store would showcase “a new concept, and new vibe,” and have a VIP area and showroom. Rents on New Bond Street are about 1,000 pounds, or $1,620 at current exchange, per square foot.
In November, Azagury-Partridge, whose shop and showroom has been a fixture in the upscale and bohemian Westbourne Grove neighborhood for years, said she and her parent company, Labelux Group, had been hoping to transfer to London’s West End, and are also scouting for store space in Paris and Los Angeles. The designer also has a boutique on Madison Avenue.
