Luxury has no bounds.
Walking the dog isn’t the most glamorous of activities, but you and your canine companion can venture out in style with a new collection of luxury leashes, collars, harnesses and “Toto” bags, called Boo Oh.
The lifestyle pet brand offers a classic handcrafted “Lumi” leash, priced $175, in Italian Buttero vegetable-dyed leather and lightweight aluminum treated with an anodization process that creates a satin luster. There’s also the handmade “Ray” harness constructed in a single piece of padded interwoven synthetic silk fiber rope and a series of Buttero leather features designed to attach and detach the harness in a fluid movement. It’s priced $129.
Items in the collection are included in Saks Fifth Avenue’s holiday windows, and can be bought at 10 Corso Como in Manhattan’s South Street Seaport and online.
The pet collection is the brainchild of artist and industrial designer Jay Sae Jung Oh who in 2013 brought a French bulldog named Boo into her life. The first-time dog owner couldn’t find doggie accessories that suited her or Boo, so she decided to design her own. They’re what she believes the pet market lacks — chic products in sophisticated materials for the modern canine. Boo Oh’s debut line is assembled entirely by hand in the designer’s hometown of Seoul, South Korea.
