PARIS — Following store openings last year in London and New York, Paris is the latest stop for CH Carolina Herrera, the lifestyle brand of Carolina Herrera, which, just in time for Paris Fashion Week, has opened a flagship in the City of Light.
Measuring more than 3,000 square feet, the store is located at 10 Rue Castiglione, the road that connects the Tuileries gardens and the Place Vendôme.
Boasting six arched windows, the store’s layout has an apartment feel, combining original Parisian features, such as a marble fireplace, gilded moldings and parquet flooring, with signature design elements from its global store concept, such as the use of diverse grained woods and a color scheme of alabaster, brown, black and gray, with red accents.
Caroline Brown, president of Carolina Herrera Ltd., said the store represents a critical first step in establishing the brand here. Grouping the label’s women’s, men’s, children’s and accessories lines, the store will also offer pieces that are unique to the market, such as a hand-painted shopping tote.
Herrera plans to travel to Paris to celebrate the opening later in the year. “We waited years for the right location and opportunity there.…When our spot on Rue Castiglione became available, I took it right away as it captures all the magic of the city and reminds me of the many trips in Paris as a child for shopping and exploring,” the designer said.
CH Carolina Herrera has 70 freestanding stores globally and 150 shop-in-shops across 16 countries. Brown said multiple store openings in North and South America are planned for the brand in 2012.
“Also important today and planned for growth in the near future are the Middle East and Europe. We are constantly looking for new markets and the brand is growing quickly with more to come in the future,” she said.
