MILAN—A mere six months into his job, Massimo Trumbatore is leaving his position as artistic director of the Iceberg women’s line, the Italian firm has announced.
Neither Trumbatore nor a spokeswoman for the brand had further comment. The spokeswoman, however, described the parting as “consensual.”
Italian manufacturer Gilmar SpA, Iceberg’s parent company, tapped Trumbatore last October. The designer’s only collection for the brand was presented for the fall 2010 season in Milan in February.
The Sicily-born Trumbatore began his career working with Alessandro Dell’Acqua, followed by design posts at Prada and Dolce & Gabbana.
Gilmar chief executive officer Paolo Gerani was previously in charge of design at Iceberg, and Giambattista Valli was design consultant for the luxury sportswear brand until the spring collection last year.
